Designed for food business owners in Santa María La Ribera, this program offers a series of hands-on workshops in which guest chefs coordinate and supervise the preparation and canning of different preserves.
In response to the neighbors’ initiative, Neighborhood Lending begins. Based on the premise that sharing is better than consuming, this nonprofit project encourages neighbors to freely borrow tools and household utensils. The project is also open to gifts of tools, home appliances, and other objects in working condition from neighbors and local businessmen who are willing to donate to the project.
The Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, in San Francisco, and the Americas Society, in New York, published the English catalogue, The Wheel Bears No Resemblance to a Leg, Erik Meyenberg’s project that was a result of the first co-participative process curated (2014–16) by inSite/Casa Gallina.
