During the fourth session of the Support Program for the Management of Food Businesses, Ilse and Ezra Aguilar spoke about their experience of changing the direction of their lives to solve the problems involved in managing a food business and the challenges to anyone who wants to establish such a business.
Diverse in content, Rivera Ribera is a periodical distributed free of charge in coffee houses, eateries, schools, stationaries, and other businesses in the barrio. Raúl Aníbal Sánchez, editor and coordinator of the project and a resident of Santa María La Ribera, is experienced in the publishing field. With help from Casa Gallina’s team, he developed this publication, which encourages community collaboration either with written or with graphic material related to the theme determined by the editor for each issue.
After being exhibited last year at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, “Erick Meyenberg: The wheel bears no resemblance to a leg” will open on May 3rd, 2017, at the Americas Society in New York. Meyenberg’s was the first co-participative project completed for inSite/Casa Gallina– produced through a process that extended from 2014 to 2016.
