Neighbors and café owners who are interested in planting, growing, harvesting, and preparing coffee attended this event where they shared their thoughts and discussed different aspects of the process. The speaker was Abraham Bello, neighbor, barista, and owner of the local Bello Café. He offered a tasting of different coffee mixtures, dryings, and roasts to allow participants to learn about the differences in the processes that result in distinct flavors.

Another speaker was Jocelyn Ramos Salas, an agronomist specializing in coffee growing, who spoke about the different kinds of beans and forms of growing coffee in Mexico.

The audience participated actively, and discussed the importance of learning and understanding the different processes that excellent coffee demands.

At the end of the session, neighbors and coffee owners adopted small coffee plants that were grown in an empty lot in the barrio.
