This workshop was aimed at designers, architects, urbanists, and young professionals interested in creative solutions for urban environmental problems. It was held at Casa Gallina, on Wednesday, the 17th, and Thursday, the 18th of January. Architect Elías Cattan was the instructor of this workshop that was part of the Inhabit the Water: An Approach to the Basin in the Valley of Mexico project.

Cattan spoke to the participants about the principles of biomimetics and the importance of urban design that considers its environment, the needs of the community, and the ecological characteristics of the region. He gave several examples of sustainable design, as well as of individual and collective efforts to build ecological projects.

Twelve neighbors participated in this workshop. They agreed to meet again to visit the exhibit Inhabit the Water: An Approach to the Basin in the Valley of Mexico, shown at the Museo de Geología, and to organize a related action or intervention in the neighborhood.
