Born in Paris in 1970 to an Algerian family, Kader studied philosophy and fine arts in Paris and spent a year in the School of Applied Arts in Barcelona in 1993. His childhood between France and Algeria, coming and going between the Christian West, Islamic Maghreb and the Sephardic Jewish world of Algeria, had a profound impact on his work and the time spent living in the Congo-Kinshasa, as well as in Venezuela has further developed his vision. His work deals with the increasingly difficult relationship between Europe and immigrants, in particular those of the Islamic faith.
