Curator of the Gelman Collection since 1998, Carranza has a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Art History from Boston University. She has participated at diverse institutions such as MAM, the Tamayo Museum, the Center of Contemporary Art, Hagerman Baños Gallery and the Muros Museum. She was co-founder and director of the Patronage of Contemporary Art. She is a patron of SOMA, Patronage of the Olga and the Rufino Tamayo Foundation and of the council of the Patronage of Contemporary Art. Carranza has been involved as patron and manager of the Urban Farm and associated workshops at Casa Gallina.
