A resident of Santa María La Ribera, Chapado has a bachelor’s degree in psycho-pedagogy, a master’s degree in public services and social politics, and a doctorate in sociology from Salamanca University. He was a parliamentary adviser for the LXI Legislature (2011–12) of the Mexican Congress, and was the CEO of Agendum Enfoque de Medios S.A. de C.V. (2013–14). As a researcher he has worked on issues of gender development and public health in Mexico. In recent years, he has been involved in joint projects concerning urban agriculture and education on informed consumption. Chapado collaborated with Casa Gallina as the instructor of the Making Ecologic Cleaning Products Workshop.
