Garcia-Villa has a degree in graphic design from the University of Guadalajara. After graduating, he worked as illustrator for newspapers and magazines. Later, he became involved in areas such as fashion styling, art direction, coordination of runways, event production, as well as wardrobe design for television and became a consultant for fashion brands. He designed the wardrobe for the Stars of the Bicentennial and has been a stylist for Mexico’s Next Top Model and art director for Levi’s, L’Oreal, Tous and Absolut Vodka. He has collaborated in the same way with Carolina Herrera, Elle and Nylon México. Currently he is creative director of the fashion magazine L’Officiel Mexico, a position which has allowed him to work as a set designer, as well as photographer.
