He holds a degree in illustration from the Academia de San Carlos (2012) and in graphic design from the Torreón Universidad Iberoamericana. Grijalva was accorded the Picnic Magazine Illustration Award in 2012. His work has been published in El Siglo de Torreón newspaper; Acequias literary magazine published by the Universidad Iberoamericana; the Cooperativa Autónoma del Comercio Artístico (CACAO); and in several international magazines, such as Vice, Nylon, and Taffy Hips. His work has been shown at the Museo Universitario del Chopo, the Taller de Serigrafía 75º, the Galería Border, and Torreón’s Alianza Francesa. He participated in Gráfica Móvil, an urban art project by Demián Flores for the 2015 Havana Biennial. He has a postgraduate degree in editorial design from INBA’s Escuela de Diseño (2016). He is currently a postgraduate professor of illustration and graphic narrative at UNAM’s Facultad de Artes Plásticas.
