Has developed an integrated approach that encompasses performance art, drawings, and interventions. As part of her art, she also considers writing, teaching, and community work. She is considered a pioneer in feminist art, performance, and digital art in Mexico. In 1983, with Maris Bustamante, she founded the feminist art group Polvo de Gallina Negra, and, in 1989, she joined efforts with Víctor Lerma to found Pinto mi Raya, a project aimed at compiling a specialized archive of periodicals that has been the starting point for different art projects. She is the author of Rosa chillante: mujeres y performance en México. She was a contributor of El Universal for twenty years and her articles have been published in different national and international magazines. She is a member of the Sistema Nacional de Creadores.
