Berenice Medina-1She studied art at UNAM’s Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas. She has collaborated on books such as Rarámuris, Mixtecos, Náhuatls, Mayas, Coras, and Yaquis, which are part of the Semilla de Palabras collection published by the Dirección General de Educación Indígena, SEP; the electronic magazine Cuadrivio; the Diarios Libros, a series of illustrated notebooks published by the Departamento de Publicaciones y Fomento Editorial de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México; she has also published her work in independent publications. Medina was chosen for the Conaculta XXII and XXIII Catalogue of Illustrators for Children’s Books. She currently coordinates a number of courses that include Illustration: concept, technique and image; Other techniques: mixed techniques for illustrators; Graphic Design Applied to Illustration: Silkscreen and Drypoint; and the Sequential and Graphic Novel, which have been taught at the Facultad de Artes y Diseño, at UNAM, since 2015.
