jzd_asomaoBorn in Mexico City in 1984, Morales has a degree in Design and Visual Communication from ENAP-UNAM; he received the Gabino Barreda Medal for Academic Excellence. Specializing in illustration, he has worked for different publishing houses, such as Santillana, Norma, Castillo, Ediciones Nuevo México, Universidad de la Ciudad de México, and Editec, as well as for magazines such as Ene-O, Picnic, Los Suicidas and Soy Chef. He has also worked at DiezyMedia and Llamarada, both animation studios, where he has been art director of short films such as “Santolo,” “El Jardín de las Delicias,” “El misterio del cuerpo desaparecido,” and “Las tardes de Tintico.” The latter won the 2012 Best Animated Short Film, at the Morelia International Film Festival.
