Curator and art historian, Santoscoy has an MA in visual studies from the California College of the Arts (San Francisco). She was deputy curator of the Eighth Mercosur Biennial in 2011, which takes place in Porto Alegre, Brazil. She has worked as a curator for different institutions in Mexico City: La Panadería (2000–2001), Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil (2001–2003) and the Museo Tamayo Arte Contemporáneo (2004–2007). Some of her curatorial works are: The Nature of Things, in the First Biennial of the Americas in Denver, Colorado (2010); Xilitla. Un proyecto de Melanie Smith y Rafael Ortega (2010–11), Asterismo. Artistas radicados en Berlín (2006), Jesús Rafael Soto. Visión en movimiento, co-curated with Tatiana Cuevas (2005–2006). She has also developed projects and curated exhibits for international institutions such as the Künstlerhaus Bethanien, Berlin; Fundación Proa, Buenos Aires; GAMeC, Bérgamo, and Piano Nobile, Geneva. She is the director of the Museo Experimental El Eco (UNAM) in Mexico City. Santoscoy collaborated with inSite/Casa Gallina in the discussion of Eduardo Navarro’s project when it was first presented.
