Montes de Oca (b. Mexico City, 1982) is an illustrator, designer and art director. He studied graphic design at the University of Durango. He has a specialty in editorial design from the School of Design at INBA. He studied engraving at the Academy of San Carlos. He is founder and director of the design study Mano de Papel and imprint design for Libros de Mano. He has given lectures and workshops at various institutions and schools across Latin America. He is the founder of the publishing house, Malpais Ediciones. He has published his work in various parts of the world. He is the author of the books Toronja 114 and La multitud que he sido.
