Suter (b. Buenos Aires, 1957) has lived in Mexico since 1970. He teaches at the Faculty of Arts at the University of the State of Morelos (UAEM), where he is the head of the Academic Body of Contemporary Visual Research. He also holds a Ph.D. from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) in the Art program: Production and research (audiovisual languages and social culture). He was honored as the representative of Mexico at the III and VII Havana Biennial and the XXIII International Biennial of São Paulo. In 1997, he entered the National System of Art Creators, FONCA, in the arena of Visual Arts. In 1998, he received the Rockefeller-MacArthur Scholarship for Film, Video and Multimedia. Suter worked as interlocutor in the discussion of the Erick Meyenberg proposal.
